If you've been waiting until spring to get a shed, here's the short version: fall and winter are a good time to get on our schedule around Wilmington and the Cape Fear region, and have the building standing before the spring rush.

I'm Anthony with Port City Sheds. We build custom sheds for homeowners in New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick Counties.

We take 1–2 site builds a week

We're a licensed general contractor, and we're selective about the projects we take on. That keeps the work right, but it also means we only have 1–2 site-build slots a week, and they fill up quickly.

Right now we're sequencing builds between the holidays. If you want a shed standing before Thanksgiving guests, before Christmas, or before spring yard season, now is when to get on the schedule.

Built by the owners, not a rotating crew

Your shed is built by me and Jamie Policz, a licensed North Carolina General Contractor (GC LIC #63008) with more than 40 years in residential and commercial construction. We're a veteran-owned local business.

One build day, usually 5–6 hours

We pre-build about 90% of your shed in our shop. Walls are framed square with house-framing methods, then loaded, hauled, and assembled on your property.

That's why our builds are consistent. Most sheds go up in one day, usually 5–6 hours on site depending on the size and options you pick, like a ramp, loft, or workbench.

Fall and winter give you time to decide

You don't have to rush the decision to get on the schedule. You can:

There's no payment taken when you submit an online order form. That just starts the conversation. We review the details and put a formal quote together. Once you approve it, a 50% deposit starts the build. The balance is due on completion. We take cash, check, or card, and we can talk financing at quoting if that helps.

Who this timing works well for

Holiday declutter: If the garage is already full before Thanksgiving and Christmas, a shed ordered now can be standing before the decorations and guest parking take over.

Spring workshop or lawn season: Have storage ready before mowers, tools, and outdoor gear come back out.

Other yard projects: If you've got a fence or other yard work going on, fit the shed in at the same time.

Book your build slot

If you've been thinking about a shed for Wilmington, Leland, Hampstead, Wrightsville, or anywhere in New Hanover, Pender, or Brunswick Counties, now's a good time to get on the schedule. Slots fill fast.
